Pharaoh's Serpent

An interesting activity which is of great fun but at the same time a little bit dangerous. So be careful while doing this.

 Materials Required : - 

• 1/4 ounce of ordinary white sugar
• 1/4 ounce Potassium Nitrate
• 1/4 ounce Potassium Bicarbonate
• A small piece of shining foil 
• A piece of cardboard

Procedure : -

• We require three basic things - Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Bicarbonate and ordinary white sugar.
• Take them in required quantity( 1/4 ounce, 1/4 ounce, 1/4 ounce respectively) separately and grind them well.
• Once ground finely, mix them well.
• Enclose this mixture in the shining foil and them put it in a cardboard tube.

Now as you light one end of the cardboard tube, a swirling snake will gradually emerge out of it, and move on till quite a few centimeters.
